Sure, I love hanging around at the gym, but there are so many other activities that keep me busy. Paddle boarding, yoga, biking, hiking are a few of my favorite. Though I am not a winter-person, I have learned to embrace the snow and cold, and often look forward to an afternoon of snowshoeing or cross-country skiing. Would I prefer a long bike ride? You bet! But, my options are to be stuck inside all winter or find a way to enjoy the season. So I bundle up and head outdoors as much as possible.
I am a "foodie" and love to try new restaurants, new ingredients, and new recipes. Of course, I enjoy a great glass of wine with a delicious meal.
Reading poetry, spending time outdoors, and my on-again/off-again challenge - learning to play the guitar - are my favorite ways to relax.
I am often motivated by my clients as I watch them overcome obstacles and develop new healthy habits. My true inspiration, however, comes from my 2 sons. Both are in the military and both continually challenge themselves to push their own personal limits and live life to the fullest.
In January of 2018, I was blessed with a beautiful granddaughter. I hope to be a strong and positive influence on her and to be an important part of her life. She will never know how important she is to mine.
Every morning I challenge myself to "Be Better Today!" in some area of my life - whether it is my relationships, my professional life, or my own fitness levels. There is always some area that can benefit from a little extra attention.
